DKIUS project shortlisted for Engineering Design Excellence ICE Award 2025

Fehily Timoney and Company are proud to announce that the Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme (DKIUS) project has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Irish Construction Excellence Awards 2025 in the Engineering Design Excellence (Design Consultants) Over €40m category. FT were the Lead Design Consultant supported by Ramboll UK and Clandillon Civil Consulting and John Sisk & Son were the Design and Build Contractor appointed by Transport Infrastructure Ireland. Congratulations to our client Sisk for also being shortlisted as finalist for the Civil Engineering Over €20m category for the DKIUS project.

The DKIUS team are pleased to be recognised for this project that involved the reconfiguration of the existing Interchange in Cork to a free flow Interchange catering for more than 100,000 vehicles per day. The scheme comprised of 16km of link roads, a grade separated junction, 4 roundabouts, 52 structures of various forms including road bridges, bridges over rail, retaining walls, culverts and gantries, earthworks, drainage networks and ponds, VRS, ITS, pedestrian footpaths, cycleways, signage and markings, utilities, accommodation works, fencing, landscaping and environmental works.
