Associate Director Environmental Scientist

Fehily Timoney and Company is looking to recruit an Associate Director of Environmental Science who will work as an integral member of the Environmental Science team in either the Cork, Dublin or Carlow office, aiding the expansion of the environmental business and working closely with fellow professionals. This position offers exposure to a broad range of areas within the environmental sectors, including but not limited to, planning and EIAR, waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permits, industrial emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.

FT's Responsibilities

  • Working in partnership with Group Director and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Managing Environmental Science Team
  • Planning and managing project deliverables while working closely with Project Managers.
  • Leading civil and environmental design teams and ensuring projects are delivered to the required timescales, quality and costs.
  • Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.
  • Supervising and mentoring staff.
  • Reviewing and approving technical reports and tender documents.
  • Ensuring compliance with our quality assurance and management systems and relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Managing client relationships and project communications.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant environmental discipline with Chartership status.
  • Minimum 15+ years post-graduate experience with at least 5 years in senior or managerial position.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Multi-disciplinary design experience.
  • Experience engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultants.
  • Experience with business development.
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets.
  • Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills.
  • Flexible and a team player.
  • Works efficiently and on own initiative.
  • Must be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetings.
  • Full Drivers Licence.
