Senior Environmental Engineer

Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Environment and Renewables. FT provides consultancy, project management , design and contract management services for the -preparation of statutory consent applications and construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, public realm, biomethane and renewable energy.

FT is recruiting a Senior Environmental Engineer– Civil and Environmental Engineering who will work as an integral member of the Circular Economy and Environment team in the Cork, Dublin or Carlow office, aiding the expansion of the business and working closely with fellow professionals. The role will suit candidates with a minimum of 8 years of experience. The successful candidate will join an established company and will have the opportunity to broaden their existing range of technical and managerial skills and experiences. This role offers the successful candidate a clear path for career development to Principal Engineer.

FT's Responsibilities

  • Planning and managing design and CAD documentation of design work, working closely with Project Engineers and Engineering Technicians
  • Attend onsite meetings with the client and other professionals
  • Ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation
  • Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering
  • 8 years post-graduate experience
  • Experience in Project Managing
  • Experience in the design for anaerobic digestion facilities, solid waste management facilities or public realm is desirable
  • Candidate should be a high-energy professional
  • Good communication, organisation and analytical skills required
  • Experience of engaging with external stakeholder, clients, sub-contractors
  • Flexible and a good team player
  • Works efficiently and on own initiative
  • Full drivers licence
