Lord Mayor’s Perpetual Trophy for Environmental Science, prize jointly donated by the Lord Mayor’s Office and Fehily Timoney
Overview
Fehily Timoney and Company was delighted to attend the annual University College Cork School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences student prize ceremony. The student prize ceremony took place on Monday, 4th November and was presented on behalf of FT by Sinéad Timoney, Chief Operating Officer.
Each year the Lord Mayor’s Perpetual Trophy for Environmental Science 2024 Award, is awarded to the best Fourth Year Environmental Science Student. The annual award is jointly donated by Lord Mayor’s Office in Cork and Fehily Timoney and Company. This year’s Lord Mayor’s Perpetual Trophy award recipient is Aine Purcell. The title of Aine’s project is ‘Investigating the effect of pH on the growth of Lemna minor on dairy soiled water’.
The student prize was presented to Aine Purcell by Professor Astrid Wingler, Vice Head of School and Professor Marcel Jansen, Sinéad Timoney, and representing the Lord Mayor was Councillor Laura Harmon.
