Eamon is Chief Executive Officer at FT, with over four decades of experience in Civil Infrastructure, Waste Management, Strategic Planning and Stakeholder Management.
He received an honours degree in Civil Engineering from National University Ireland Dublin in 1976. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Ireland (FIEI), Fellow and Registered Consulting Engineer of the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACEI), a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers London (CEng MICE) and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management UK (C.WEM, CIWEM).
Eamon’s key areas of experience include major environmental works, solid waste management and regulatory compliance, major inter-urban road schemes and major bridge schemes and bridge works, local authority infrastructure and industrial projects in the pharma-chem and bulk chemicals industries. His expertise has been relied upon in oral hearings, and legal proceedings as an expert witness in his areas of expertise. He advises local authorities and the private sector in strategic planning areas.
Eamon’s involvement in a number of high-profile developments and major environmental schemes include the South East Integrated Waste Services Public Private Partnership (€500m+), Lincolnshire County Council’s PFI Procurement Energy from Waste (€250m), Cork City Wastewater Treatment Plant (220,000PE), Arthurstown Waste Disposal Facility (600,000tpa), Abu Dhabi National Waste Management Plan (2015 – 2035), Jeddah Environmental and Social Master Plan (2013-2045).
Eamon’s highways projects span four decades and include the current Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme (€100m+), Dalry Bypass Scotland (€40m), N9/N10 Phase 3 and Phase 4 (€400m+), N7 Heath Mayfield Bypass, N9 Cashel Bypass, Cork Northern Ring Road, Ballyshannon Bypass, Youghal Bypass, Bloomfield Interchange Bridge, Temporary Works Design (Jack Lynch Tunnel Cork, Shannon Tunnel (M18)), Sarsfield Road Pedestrian Cycle Bridge, Dunleer Bypass (Phase 1), Mullingar Bypass, Mullingar Inner Distributor Road.
As Project Director, Eamon’s role includes leading the projects Risk Management Register, lead client and key stakeholder liaison including scheme presentations, legal/commercial arrangements with the Client or design build contractor, technical resourcing for the design and designer site staff including resolution of issues. His risk management includes Lincolnshire County Council’s PFI Procurement Energy from Waste (€250m) and Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme (€100m+).
Eamon has led the Stakeholder Management process on the South East Integrated Waste Services Public Private Partnership (€500m+), Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme (€100m+) and Abu Dhabi National Waste Management Plan (2015 – 2035).
He has won awards for both his environmental and bridgeworks projects and has presented nationally and internationally in his areas of expertise.
Eamon has been President of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (2010 – 2011) and Chair of the Construction Industry Council (2010-2012).
